Waking up to early jungle birds, begin a steep climb out of the upper montane forest into the beautiful high-altitude bamboo forest zones. The air cools down as you navigate narrow paths bounded by thick bamboo stalks. Push past the treeline into the sub-alpine heath fields to conquer Mwanihana Peak Summit (2,150m), enjoying endless views over the Kilombero valleys. Descend to the sheltered Fiko Camp for the night.

Descent to Park Gate & Return Transport
Enjoy your final hot jungle breakfast prepared by the camp cook. Complete your steady mountain descent through the varying altitudinal layers of the park, keeping your binoculars ready to track endemic hornbills and colorful butterflies. Arrive back at the Mang'ula park gate by midday to conclude your expedition and board your private vehicle return transport.
